NEWS

Over 250 protesters gathered on Feb. 27 as Jewish Life, a branch of Campus Ministry, and the Georgetown Israel Alliance (GIA) hosted a panel with members of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). 

More than 800 students signed a petition to lengthen the 2024-2025 winter break, which is currently scheduled to be just 17 days, one week shorter than the 2023-2024 break.

The Georgetown women’s basketball team defeated Creighton 55-46 in the semifinals of the Big East Tournament on Sunday, and will appear in the conference championship game for the first time in program history. The Hoyas will challenge UConn for the conference title tonight at 7 p.m.

Georgetown men’s basketball lost to St. John’s on Saturday, March 9 (86-78) in their final game of the regular season. The Hoyas begin Big East Tournament play at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday, March 13 at 6:30 p.m. against Ed Cooley’s former team, the Providence Friars.
